Is Hawaii about to have a Scott Brown experience of their own?

Unless you live in Hawaii, you probably have no idea who he is. But if you follow politics, you’ll soon be hearing the name a lot more.

First, to be clear, Honolulu Councilman Charles Djou (R) has an extremely uphill battle for the seat in Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District. The district is heavily Democrat as far as voters go, and it’s been about two decades since a Republican held the seat.

But thanks to Democratic Rep. Neil Abercrombie, who is now running for Governor, the seat is vacant. There are a few things in play that could help Djou pull off an upset in the race. [Read more →]

Desperate or Just Stupid? The Coakley Camp is Being Run By 3rd Graders!

I’m not sure I’m witnessing what I’m witnessing? I mean, I planned to take a trip to Boston to bare witness to an historically close race… wherein the Republican up-start actually had a chance of coming within 9 or 10 points of the already anointed successor to Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat.

Then came the break between Christmas and New Years… the Scott Brown campaign ran an ad in which the late, great, John F, Kennedy transformed into Scott Brown while talking about taxes and jobs…

Can you say “Game Changer?” in my opinion that ad was a huge game changer and the beginning of the momentum shift…
