You’d think the Obama administration is busy enough controlling the banks, insurance companies and automakers, but thanks to whistleblowers at the Department of the Interior, we now learn they’re planning to increase their control over energy-rich land in the West.
A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that’s essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.

A Note From Jim DeMint
I want to personally thank you for signing the “Repeal ObamaCare Pledge” at repealitpledge.com and give you a quick update.
First, the bad news.
At 11:56 a.m. this morning, President Obama signed the health care legislation into law, turning one-sixth of our economy over to the federal government.
Congressional Democrats cheered as they watched the President sign this full-blown attack on our freedoms.
It was a painful sight to see.
Now, the good news.

ObamaCare dead, thanks to Sen. DeMint!
This post is a condensed version of Dan Perrin’s post on RedState.com.
Senator Conrad, the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee said yesterday that “I don’t know of any way…where you can have a reconciliation bill pass before the bill that it is meant to reconcile passes.” When reminded that House Democrats don’t want to do health care in that order, Conrad said bluntly: “Fine, then it’s dead.”
Now, Speaker Pelosi finds herself in the position of having to pass a bill she says she does not have the votes to pass. But without passing it, she can’t do reconciliation.
